Beginning Tuesday, March 18 – St. Mark will be presenting “tiny” concerts for our students. These 20-minute concerts will feature some of Kansas City’s premiere performing artists and will introduce our students to a wide variety of music, instruments, and local artists. We will create an intimate performance area on our stage so the children can engage with the performers.

With numerous critically acclaimed opera roles, competition wins, major television appearances, international tours and concert credits on their resume operatic duo Gulley/Granner (tenors Ben Gulley and Nathan Granner) formed in 2012 after completing a national tour as Sony Masterworks label group, The American Tenors.  Both hailing from Kansas City, Ben and Nathan returned home and began singing together full force. From standard operatic repertoire where the tenors share their classical sound to classic contemporary love songs, the voices are sublime.  And they are fun. They laugh, bringing fans into their world with smiles and jokes, all the while introducing people to historic music that is anywhere from 150 to 350 years old. They translate, they tell stories, even teaching key words and phrases to their audience, Gulley/Granner draws people in and makes them feel as special as they really are.
