Hopes and Dreams Chandelier

Caregivers wrote their hopes and dreams for their children for the upcoming school year on a piece of canvas. Their children were then encouraged to paint their canvas pieces, and they were attached to an embroidery hoop. Families were invited to join us at the first Stay, Play, & Learn (our weekly open-studio experience for children and caregivers to play and create together) and created beads together with clay. The youngest members of our school family, our infants, and toddlers were also able to participate in this project by assisting with stringing the beads on the sculpture. This collaborative installation symbolizes our collective goals and wishes for them this year and hangs in the lobby of our school.
