Students interacted with their portraits and their friends’ by adding color, details, clothing, and exciting backgrounds. Each friend approached the experience differently, with some children finding it more interesting to add details to their laminated page. Their interpretation of the project depended heavily on their developmental stage yet provided a unique approach to self-portraiture and access to new materials.
